Happy Monday 2/23/09
Some choppy updates and pictures with no common theme from your favorite maui maniacs. Enjoy.
We left off on valentines day eve at wandbnews. We had a great Vday....flowers and fun as a family (with a little alliteration =).)
Naia on valentines DAY being a bundle of "Love" (yes i know im a nerd)
here is her nighttime valentine ensemble. those are hearts on her dress (we sortof needed an occassion). This was at our friends house for dinner.
i think i'm wiping off some drool here. i like her face in this one.
its so fun literally watching her learn things.
Did i mention we named the element. HER name is Ella. Naia marie was almost ella marie actually. we thought about that and thought ella, as in element, was cute. Plus, Brooks added, he likes mint (?). Anyway... Ella
shopping. dont worry-- i didnt buy these. although im starting to regret it...
don't know if you remember but i had a blog from when i was pregnant of the mantle. anyway i took a more recent picture of it. isn't it so much more fun now? naia surrounded by her cousins =).

i dont want to be that person that thinks babies giving the finger is funny... but i sortof think this IS funny.

if she didn't look so pissed, i might send this in to some redsox websites ...hmmm...that gives me a fun idea for our next photo shoot.

Naia is 3 months old!
Our little angel baby is 3 months old today. I can't believe how fast the days go and how we can love such a new, little person so much. Everyday she is sweeter, cuter, smarter, stronger, and funnier. Its amazing. And while i love and cherish every today, and sometimes want to slow down time, i look forward to every tomorrow.

iao valley... kindof a "magical" place here on maui. the only landscape pictures i took of this place are on film...so not blog material.
naia gets pretty comfortable in her carrier.
she slept the whole time-- oops
ulapalakua camping, well sortof camping. we hung out with our friends who were camping there that night but we didn't stay. (we brought the laundry basket, as a "just in case", though). you cant tell from these pictures but it was REALLY windy. this is by oprah's house, but she never invited us in.
This puppy's name is riley. He's the same amount of weeks in age as Naia.

NEW FAVORITE PARK ALERT!!
We used to live right across the street from this park and brooks loves/loved playing basketball here. I never knew the park was what seems like miles deep, i guess cause we were always there at night. You can't even see the bball courts in the background. anyway, paths and walkways and sidewalks oh my!! All great with the stroller. i've found our new hangout.
Today is superbowl sunday. we dont care who wins, except brooks has 5 bucks on ... i think the cardinals. Anyway, this is the anniversary of when we met, 5 years ago, which makes this our 6th superbowl together. Last year at this time, we didnt even know the family would be bigger in a year. its pretty cool, baby's first superbowl...a pretty big deal in THIS family, like her first christmas or something. we're celebrating now with some baileys in our coffee yum, and naia with her second lunch and a nap, yum.
