the catch up catch all blog

We're on vacation.  its Thanksgiving morning and i'm in a dark, cozy, hotel room.  not a creature is stirring, not even a naia.  We are having such a great time and havent really slowed down. we're filling up memory cards with our adventures and i can't wait to look at them when we get home.  but before i go through all of those, i need to post some pictures of naia's birthday, party, halloween, etc. She had a great time, got too many fabulous things, and saw so many wonderful family and friends.  it's been a non stop party.  here are some highlights... (LOTS of highlights)
right before we went trick or treating.  it was a tough sell, til she figured it out

love this one....

this starts the birthday party pics.  it was a halloween affair in "naia's spooky studio" or something

this is going to go down as one of my all time favorites

naia was proud of it too!

"2!!"

getting ready to write her thank you notes (now where did that list go????)
opening presents birthday morning

we're in a "neigh neigh" phase, among other things, like, we're also in a tutu phase

i LOVE her face here. this is her birthday dinner. she was doing laps around the restaurant like a little maniac

a ladies lunch with her cuz

like i said...tutus...
I think that just about catches us up. right in time too, cause the smallest of the creatures is stirring.  I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving.  We're feeling very full of thanks ourselves!

First Day of Gymnastics

We had so much fun today.  I think its the beginning of an era, though i WILL NOT PUSH.... i can cross my fingers =).  She was cautious and shy at first (new kids, new apparatus, LOTS of big colorful "toys") but warmed up to the idea, and was soon doing rolls, walking the beam and swinging on the bar with help.  She loves it so much, she even put her leotard back on tonight just for fun.
i love it so much that i intend on taking better pictures soon, when the coach is ready for "that kind of mom"...  which i happily am =)

tomorrow is naia's last day as a one year old. tune in, i'm working on something =)
