Tis the season for Naia to sing to you!!

Happy Holidays to You and Yours! Consider this our Christmas Card/Blog sort of thing (cause that's all i'm getting around to this year)

we've been gearing up for christmas, a new baby, and lots of other things around here.  naia had her very first "school program"and it was AWESOME.  they actually called it a "Holiday Ice Cream Social and Sing Along" i was not at all prepared for how sweet and cute everything was or how much fun it is to be a proud parent at one of these things.  and i would love to show you pictures of the performance but i can't put other people's kids on my blog here.... so you get the next best thing:  we've had more than a few encore performances over the past few days so here are some of the most entertaining:

Mrs. Claus came to the Sing along!  And that's Naia's Preschool teacher.  We just love her!

when Naia came back, i asked her what she asked Mrs. Claus for.  Her response: "I asked for Rudolph, but her gave me play doh."  (maybe not the response i would hope for but HILARIOUS)

Tonight is the night before naia's 3rd birthday.  well, technically, since it's past midnight, she's 3 now.  i gave her lots of kisses on her sweet sleeping 3 year old face before i gave up trying to sleep and came downstairs...  i can't sleep.  nothing new, just the joys of pregnancy.  anyway, it gave me time to display her birthday presents and do this blog for you!  i have a LOT of halloween pictures but since i'm just throwing this thing together at 5 am, i'll just post a couple.   mostly wanted to put up some pictures from yesterday, naia's last day as a 2-year-old.  she has been such a sweet and loving 2-year-old, that i'm sad to see it end and have been a little i-don't-know-the-word (sappy) about it.  so, i took lots of pictures of her last day as 2.  and i kept announcing things all day, "last nap as a 2 year old,"... "last bath as a 2 year old,"... catch my drift?  anyway, without further ado (cause i have done a bit of ado-ing...):

this was such a great little moment. naia filled her sticker chart at school.  mrs. olsen wanted me to know she worked very hard to do this and that every sticker on there (if you can see in the picture) represented a good choice.  when the chart was filled up, she got a prize.  it was a shrek (we don't do shrek in our family- yet) book with a watercolor paint set to go with it.  Yes, linda, i'm saving the chart for her book =).  so there she is very proud, with her school in the background.


 the next few are from trick or treating on halloween...

 and after getting some loot we hung out a little at mary tess's

baby boy gibson wasn't about to let the halloween-before-his-first-halloween go by without a little gesture... 

i loved this little outfit so i asked to take her picture.  this was the pose she gave me.  she is awesome.

Mr. Sun

So i [icked up naia from preschool (we LOVE preschool-- it is beyond all of our wildest dreams) and she was singing this.  so, i had to capture it for her readers.



"oh Mr. sun, sun, mr. golden sun, please shine down on me.  these little children are asking you, to please come out so we can play with you. oh, mr sun, sun, mr golden sun, please shine down on me"

we are currently in a full swing with school, work, pregnancy, photo jobs, halloween, and naia's 3rd birthday coming up, but i thought this video just had to be posted....

(we actually just did halloween activity 2 of 4 today and are prepping for a dress up birthday party, so expect some pictures up here soon of all the dressing up and festivities.)

2 videos, 1 announcement

LOTS has been going on these days.  we're summering it up, and everyone is either in school or preparing to be.  yes, that means Naia too!  She's starting preschool in a few weeks! but anyway,  i thought i'd post a couple videos of the everyday stuff.


i think naia may hold a record for most time partying in hardware stores.  since day one, she's been dad's little helper.  not an extraordinarily exciting video, but just "how she do".



and this... i keep thinking when she's telling stories (in this case, to her own reflection in the mirror) I should record them.  i intend to do this more.  it probably needs some translating, but it involves gardening, giving a present to austin, her cousin, and some other tidbits... pardon the shelf.  i have to be stealth with these acquisitions.


And, for the announcement.  Most of you probably already know, so this might be old news here on W and B News but we are elated and excited to be expecting baby gibson #2!!  That's right, Naia will be a big sister, chester will tolerate more torture, and our family will be expanding! The Gibsons will be a family of 4 (5 if you count the cat)!!  We also recently found out it's a boy and THAT got us excited and elated too! January is the "expected"month of debut!!

Hellllooooooo out there! we're still here. still thinking of those who might be checking in on w and b news. there's been a good chunk of time.  i think we've gone from easter to mid summer without catching up...  Instead of trying to do that, i'll just give you a couple of gems from the camera in the month of July (so far)
