Mirror mirror

Have i mentioned naia's love of mirrors? this is not a new thing, just more and more exciting as she learns to make even more funny faces at herself.

again on tummy. she's really strong on her belly and can go a LONG time if she's looking at that "pretty girl in the mirror there [what mirror, where]?" name that musical anyone? (hi mom)
this took some careful positioning on my part, self pat on the back.

she LOVES being in her carrier. and if its raining out or something, she's happy to just walk around the house... especially if i park it in front of the bathroom mirror and sing and dance. The best thing about dancing in the carrier is that she dances too =).

And one more note on the "pretty girl":
she got an A+ from the doctor on friday and is weighing in at 13 lbs, 8 1/2 oz, and is 25 inches "tall". She also got her 4 month shots. and while i am so grateful that these immunizations are in existence and available to us, i hate all the stuff that comes with them. Possible side effects, categorized as "mild", "moderate", or "severe" in the vague handout (5 handouts actually, one for each vaccine this time) they send you home with. Who thinks that a seizure is moderate or a temp of 102 for 3 days is mild? anyway, she's so tough and handled it like a champ. She's still dealing with it however, with her low grade fever and general "pissed-off-ness". In the short time that ive been a mom, ive come to the conclusion that that hardest part FOR ME is worry combined with helplessness when she is in pain or having any kind of hard time that i can't fix. Like my dad has said to me, "when you hurt, i hurt". I get it and i will continue to get it forever and i know this is all small potatoes (and thanks dad).
its all good. naia is still pretty warm but is currently napping peacefully with dad. its 735 pm and we're both drinking coffee to prepare for tonight, which we are worried, might be like last night. pardon the run on sentences and babble. im tired.

Keep that pretty girl away from the pals of Officer Krumke! Unless, of course, they teach her how to tap dance and sing in tune. Great picture - you both look ready for a reality talent show. thanks for the wonderful glimpse into the magic mirrors.
